About 10 years ago, my coworkers and I headed into the big city of Chicago to visit a variety of grocery stores. That day on my job as a retail dietitian might have been one of the best days. I know what you are thinking, really?! Seeing the layout of health focused grocery stores with dozens upon dozens of new products I have never seen before was my happy place. I am pretty sure this was the very first time I ever stepped into a Trader Joe’s.

It was probably love at first sight when I first stepped into a TJ’s. And, I still get excited to drive about 25/30 minutes to pick up all my favorites. I can’t wait to talk about why I love these items for my family! There are some products that make meals super easy, and there are other products that pack a simple nutrition boost. Let’s keep it real, there are some products that are out-of-this-word, while feeling good about eating with not a lot of unnecessary ingredients.
Frozen mashed potatoes are such an amazing healthy shortcut. Heat and eat and they taste just like real mashed potatoes (because they are)!
Perfect for my kiddos and I love them, too. I put a mini pizza in the air fryer for 5 to 7 minutes at 375 degrees – just the right size!
No seasoning needed! Add to the air fryer and cook for about 8 to 12 minutes at 400 degrees. The easiest and tastiest side, ever!
The flavor is delicious. I like to dip in guacamole and my kids like to dip in salsa. A super easy meal – taste best in the air fryer.
Such a simple, lean source of protein that is the perfect pair to a salad. I was impressed!
Tastes like they are from a fancy brunch. A bit pricey but worth it! Very filling with 25 grams of protein for two frittatas.
Tastes like a healthier version of Doritos. Love these chips on a taco salad.
Spicy beans and salsa for a kick with your favorite chips or top on a salad for a fiber boost.
Super simple dinner made in just minutes and oh-so colorful and filling! I add some chicken breast strips to make a complete meal.
So cool! My kids snack on them plain, but you could fill them with taco meat. Jicama is a good source of fiber and vitamin C.
There are many cauliflower products that have a little bit of cauliflower, but this one is made mostly with cauliflower.
Love the seasoning and was thrilled to try this Greek yogurt dip. Perfect to dip vegetables, pretzels, or try my mini veggie pizza recipe.
I think this dip is why I go to Trader Joe’s. Packed full of spinach, kale, carrots, and onions. Great to dip with sweet potato crackers shown below.
If you are a buffalo chicken fan, add shredded chicken and add to a lettuce wrap for a filling lunch idea.
A square after any meal is the perfect way to satisfy a sweet tooth without going too crazy.
Great for a pizza crust or fill with chicken salad or even eggs for a filling breakfast (good source o protein).
Most fish sticks have very little fish, not this product! Each little nugget packs a nice little size of protein.
Love all their new flavors of sparking water and so reasonably priced.
The BEST! I love these little cookies because a handful is a great size to satisfy a sweet tooth.
A nice light tea for the evening or afternoon. AND, white teas are higher in antioxidants than other varieties!
Salsa style! I add a half can to my taco meat for a flavor and nutrient boost!
Little crackers, bigger serving, and provide a couple grams of fiber. I love these crackers with any dip listed above.
Crunchy, slightly sweet and oh-so satisfying! I am in love with these little biscuits. I need to stock up!
Kid favorite! I always need a quick lunch for the kids. Pair with fruit and veggies and lunch is done!
Whoa! A little spicy kick, but these corn chips are out of this world! Makes an amazing taco salad.
