Make ahead or prepare and eat right away!  You won’t go wrong with this favorite.  It’s filling, fast and provides a boost of nutrients.  This creamy, sweet treat will satisfy your cravings for an afternoon break or a great option for breakfast, too. 

*If you do make ahead, the chia seeds will absorb some of the water and make the consistency a bit more thicker. Just an fyi, if you are not a fan of different textures. 

Yogurt:   You may use any Greek yogurt you like!  This Greek yogurt is much lower in sugar and carbs than other brands. It has a smooth creamy texture.  It yields high in protein content providing a whopping 17 grams per cup.  

Chia seeds:  These tiny little seeds provide so many benefits including omega-3’s, fiber and many other essential nutrients such as calcium, potassium and iron. One tablespoon provides 5 grams of fiber, whoa!  

Strawberries:  These bold red berries are lower in natural sugars and packed with nutrients. Strawberries have been shown to be extremely helpful in promoting heart health by reducing inflammation and improving vascular function. 

Layer a 1/2 cup of strawberries followed by a 1/2 cup yogurt and topped with a 1/2 tablespoon of chia seeds. Repeat one more time to complete the jar.  This is a great way to pack for lunch or breakfast on-the-go!

I forgot to mention these strawberries . . . they are delicious!  The flavor tastes like they were picked in their prime.  I do think some organic fruits and vegetables have more flavor than conventional items.  And if it tastes better, I will enjoy it more and totally worth the price. Enjoy friends!
