My good friends will tell say, “How come mine don’t taste as good as yours?” Well, here are exact steps to follow.

They are a must to have in the refrigerator or freezer at all times. The recipe is super easy and made with wholesome ingredients.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack or dessert – these guys always perform. Perfect for getting kiddos to go #2 or satisfy your sweet tooth. 😂

The BEST Energy Bites

Hands down the best treat to have in your frig or freezer, plus these little bites pack boost of heart-healthy omega 3's and fiber. Kids, adults, elderly - all ages will love 'em and benefit from them.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup agave nectar
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (or mini M&M's)

Instructions

  • 1. In a bowl, combine peanut butter and agave nectar.
    2. Add quick oats and stir.
    3. Add flaxseed and chia seeds and mix well.
    4. Lastly, add mini chocolate chips and combine all ingredients.
    5. Roll mixture into balls using a cookie dough scoop.
    *Store bites in the refrigerator or freezer.

Nutrition Facts per bite: 90 calories; 8gm carbohydrates; 5gm fat; 3gm fiber; 3gm protein

 

I have used honey before but I find I need to use double the amount. Agave nectar has a lower viscosity which helps to use less with same sweetness. Plus agave nectar ranks lower on the glycemic index, which means it does not raise blood sugar as high as sugar or even honey.
