Hello! I’m jamming out to Prince! I heard it before and now Alexa is blasting all the hits. No one is home so I can turn up the music and dance like nobody is watching (I just hope my hubby never plays back the footage from the living room camera 😬😳😂.). Yes, we have cameras in all spots.

Today I’m sharing a simple, yet, filling snack idea. This could even be an easy breakfast. They are also delicious when made ahead, maybe better?

Ingredients are simple:

*Made in a 4-oz Ball jar

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup blueberries (I use frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

Nutrition Facts: 218 calories; 30gm carbohydrates; 8gm fiber; 4gm fat; 3gm polyunsaturated; 13gm protein

I consider Greek yogurt a superfood, um… Come to think of it, blueberries and chia seeds are superfoods, too. So this is a SUPER snack! 🙌🏼

There is some really cool research finding how powerful Greek yogurt can be in weight management/loss.

The high source of protein is helpful in keeping you getting full longer. Another benefit from protein in Greek yogurt would be a great choice after a workout. This would help replenish the amino acids lost after strenuous exercise.

Vitamin B-12 is crucial in building healthy blood cells. In a one-cup serving, about 21% of your daily value of vitamin B-12 is provided.

Can you believe this snack contains 8 grams of fiber! Woohoo! Thanks to just one-tablespoon of chia seeds.

These little seeds are amazing for body. They are packed with heart-healthy omega-3’s and fiber. Chia seeds are extremely helpful in lowering cholesterol. The soluble fiber helps “soak up” unwanted cholesterol in the bloodsream.

Again the high amount of fiber is beneficial in weight management, too. Just have a flosser on hand or brush your teeth right after 😂. Those little seeds get stuck in my teeth. I always see them in my sink. I’m sure I need to clean my drain because there are probably a bunch of seeds swelling up down there, yikes!

Now for some natural sweetness! Blueberries are one of the fruits lower in natural sugar. They also contain a good amount of fiber! Blue and purple foods are known to keep the memory sharp and healthy. Yay for blueberries, a staple in the freezer!
