It’s Friday and it’s snowy and freezing here! Well, today I’m featuring a little something new…
Let me back up for a bit and tell you more about how many brands of cauliflower tator tots I have tried and how many of those were thrown in the trash because my family were not fans, ugh!
But these, are a different story! My youngest was the only one in the family that did not care for them.
I made them in the air fryer for about 4 to 5 minutes at 400 degrees. They are from Costco.
What’s with the cauliflower craze, anyway?
There’s really nothing outstanding, nutrional-wise for most of the cauliflower-crazed products (some contain more fat and carbs than a regular version, considering the portion size).
But, I do love the idea of adding a little nutrional benefit for everyday items, especially any tator tot!
Theses bites are much larger than a tator tot and deliciously crunchy and satisfying! Plus, they are a quick-fix side (no leftovers here!) for any meal.
Highlights… A couple grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein and really not very high in carbs. Plus, remember, sunflower seeds are added, they are rich in healthy fats (mono & poly unsaturated fats). A little calcium, iron and potassium is always great!
Enjoy and stay warm!💗
