Breakfast or Sweet Treat Idea: Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies

So, I have made theses cookies awhile back and wasn’t too sure and the recipe but I think this one works better. Just note, this cookies is not supposed to be super decadent, it’s supposed to be a good alternative for breakfast or a healthy sweet treat.
They are filling with fiber and protein, plus they are much less in sugar than a regular cookie. Minimal ingredients for an easy treat. The trick to baking these is to not make them too long.
- Almond flour – A good source of fiber and protein. Other nutrient sources include calcium, iron and potassium
- Agave nectar – A lower glycemic index food.
- Whey protein – Absorbed easily and may help aid in weight and preserve lean muscle.
Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies
Serves about 24 cookies
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/4 cup agave nectar
2 cups almond flour
1/2 cup whey protein
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together milk, egg and agave nectar. Add dry ingredients: almond flour, whey protein and chocolate chips. Use a cookie dough scoop and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Leave them set for 10 minutes and enjoy!
