I am so excited to attend my first football tailgate of the season, I just can’t stand it! Tailgating reminds me of the good ole college days, tear. But now since I am old and not a crazy college student anymore I am excited to start new tailgating traditions with my family. After our family relocated last year, my husband and I were excited to be living closer to our beloved Cyclones, again. Off we go with a 5-year-old, two-year-old and three-month-old and walked about 1 mile to our tailgate destination with TWO strollers packed with all our tailgate necessities: chairs, toddler chairs, diaper bag, cooler and plenty of food for the clan. I am sure we looked like crazy people but that is what you do when you love your team, right? Plus, might I add that we had three of the cutest Lil’ Cyclone fans. Anyway it was all worth it and can’t wait to do it all over this year! We have a big game here in Iowa tomorrow, Hawks vs Cyclones! The weather should be the perfect fall football weather. Go Clones!
Anywhoo, here are some healthier tailgating recipes – but maybe you want to keep that little secret to yourself!
This is so easy and I think I ate the leftovers for breakfast, too!
This post was my top Pinterest post, woohoo for newbie me! It is light, yet satisfies that satisfies any crispy taco craving,eh?
You can’t go wrong with these cupcakes, again wonderful at breakfast too!
My new fav! This recipe rocks right now as nectarines and avocados are in season. A perfect pair to a salty tortilla chip.
Makes me want to sing the Adam Sandler’s song, or not, ha! Make up a huge batch and throw them in the crock-pot for your tailgate!
Enjoy! Cheers to Happy Tailgating Season!
