We all need some quick go-to products for a yummy snack!  These items may not be 100% super healthy, but everything in moderation, right (even I am starting to dislike that word Smile).

 

My first pick is Kashi’s Peanutty Dark Chocolate!  Oh . . .my . . .goodness!  I want this bar for every single snack with a cup of coffee!  Nutrition facts are pretty good – 130 calories; 4.5 g fat; 1 g saturated fat; 20 g carbohydrates, 4 g fiber; 4 g protein.

I also saw this on their website, which is pretty cool! Kashi is also starting a Non-GMO Project. Here is what is on their website: Our commitment: By the end of 2015 over half our food will be Non-GMO Project Verified.* But we won’t stop there. We’ll continue to increase the use of organic and Non-GMO ingredients where possible while making sure to continue to provide the positive nutrition you expect from us.

These little guys are a great little treat!  Especially after dinner when I am searching my pantry, frig and freezer for something sweet!  The nutrition facts are not fantastic, they do the job for satisfying my sweet tooth! Even though on the front it says 2X the protein, there is only 5 grams of protein, but consider that it is a small portion – so in that case it’s not too bad.

Nutrition facts: 90 calories; 1.5 g fat; 1 g saturated fat; 55 mg sodium; 13 g carbohydrate; 0 g fiber; 12 g sugars; 5 g protein.   The highlight for this product is the serving size, instead of a bottomless bowl of ice cream, a sweet small sized treat!

 

Yes, this product is not 100% healthy but life is too short!  They are so good and the fat is decreased by choosing the turkey sausage, actually the beef sticks taste like fat sticks and are not very good.  I have to keep these on hand in case I made a bad dinner for my husband, ha!

Little chunks of joy!  These are wonderful to eat semi-frozen!  Awesome to add in a smoothie because they give the smoothie some thickness, instead of always adding a banana. Plus mangos are loaded with awesome nutrition!

Mangos are an excellent source of vitamin C and good source of vitamin A plus they contain a significant amount of the carotenoid, beta-carotene (remember anything in the pretty yellow-orange color are high in carotenoids, woohoo!).   Beta-carotene is very helpful in promoting healthy skin and immune system.  Some studies have even shown them to be beneficial in preventing prostate cancer!
