Taco Dip–Get it for the holidays!

Wow, amazing yummy dip!  Instead of full fat version of layered dips, try this “healthified” dip with avocado, beans, tomatoes and Greek yogurt!

 

Taco Dip

Serves 12. Source: Stacy Mitchell, RD, LD

1 (8oz) container Greek yogurt

1 tbsp taco seasoning

1 can black beans, drained

1 can diced tomatoes with chilies

1 avocado

1 lime juice

½ tsp garlic powder

Lettuce, shredded

Tomatoes, diced

Taco cheese

 

Preparations

Mix together Greek yogurt and taco seasoning and set aside. In a blender, combine black beans, tomatoes, avocado, lime juice and garlic powder. In an 8-by-8-inch dish, spread a layer of the yogurt mixture.

  1. Top it with the black bean mixture.
  2. Top it with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.
  3. Refrigerate dip until ready to serve.
