Monday Motivation – What is go-to activity?

When you are bored, what do you? Many times we turn to food when there is just nothing else to do.  We may open up the refrigerator or cupboard, stand there, and ask ourselves, “What do I want?”  The question we should be asking ourselves is, “Am I hungry?”

 

Do you have a go-to activity that keeps your mind off of food?  Have you ever experienced a time when you were just too busy to even think about what you are going to eat?  You even went past your level of hunger to starving (we don’t like to be this hungry because then we can eat everything in sight!) because you were so busy with what you were doing food was the last thing on your mind!

 

Maybe it is going for a walk or taking part in a hobby or even surfing the internet.  Make it something enjoyable, not folding laundry – then you will easily turn to food.

 

I like to have a combination of an activity with a glass of water with lemon.  Sometimes your tastes buds are screaming at you for something . . .when you are not even hungry at all – so my solution to this is gum.  I seem to have a different flavor each week.

 

My go-to activity right now would have to be JUST DANCE on the wii.  It gets me going and something that I have a blast at doing!
