Something new for you – broccoli slaw! Loaded with antioxidants, i was amazed by all the nutrients listed on the label.
Instead of the same old salad, I really like to mix it up with broccoli slaw – it has such a nice crunch and wonderful flavor! These packages are located right by the packaged lettuces – I usually use Dole’s brand which is more readily found where I shop but any brand will do.
Now in order to absorb all those good nutrients found in the broccoli slaw, you need a little fat with them! The sunflower seeds in the recipe below make the perfect combination.
I will be honest, personally I do not like fat-free dressing but the Jimmy’s fat-free coleslaw dressing is awesome! It tastes great and you save a ton of fat and calories.
Broccoli Slaw Salad
1 pkg Dole broccoli slaw
3/4 cup Jimmy’s fat-free coleslaw dressing
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup sunflower seeds
1. Mix together broccoli slaw, dressing and dried cranberries together.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Top with sunflower seeds just before serving
